During my PhD, from December 2006 to July 2007, I have been a visiting PhD, at Columbia University, and Department of Urban Planning. ; Supervisor Prof. Robert Beauregard;. The objective of the visit was to study gentrification, the re-birth of an African-American neighbourhood in Brooklyn, anti-gentrification movements and community organizing.

In 2004 I achieved a Laurea in Architecture and Urbanism (five year course, equivalent to a MA in Architecture and Planning), Faculty of Architecture, I.U.A.V (Venice).
