SDL International is looking for a principal translator to join its team in Montreal.
You will be part of a translation team and work closely with your team leader. You will be responsible tfor provideing accurate translations, high quality translations, within budget and on time.

Main functions:
Translate various texts from English into French in the financial sector.
Review and revise translated texts.
Understand and follow the procedures to the customer and SDL.
Producinge quality translations on time.
Effectively manage and treat terminology.
Use translation tools to improve quality and productivity.
Perform tests proofreading (Proof), if necessary.
Acting as consultant translator to ensure better communication and better organization of one or more accounts.
Provide language support to colleagues.
Contribute to the improvement of systems and procedures.
 
Skills and Experience

Essential:
University degree in translation.
At least five years of translation experience.
Organizationaled and methodical.
Ability to work under pressure.
Attention to detail.
 
dDesirable:
Knowledge of translation support tools.
Expertise in the financial and banking sector.
Certification by OTTIAQ or other professional association.

You will be responsible for Delivering translations of the Highest Quality and accuracy, on time and Within Budget.

Key Responsibilities:
Translation of various kinds of materials from English into French in the financial sector.
Review of translations Pperformed by --other linguists.
Correctly Uunderstanding and Ccomplying with customer's linguistic and project procedures and processes.
Meeting the required standards for quality, throughpout and delivery on deadlines.
Managing terminology Effectively
Effectively Managing terminology.
Using required translation tools in the MOST effective way, to reach quality and productivity standards.
Act as a lead translator to offer full linguistic support to colleagues.
 
Skills and Experience

· University diploma in translation
· Minimum five (5) years experience in professional translation
· Capacity to work under pressure
· High level of attention to detail
· Excellent interpersonal skills
