Monsanto is a multinational company which specializes in producing genetically modified seeds. Monsanto has managed to increase productivity levels and maximize profits using biotechnology. However, biotechnology has raised many ethical issues. “In public debates, agricultural biotechnology is almost invariably discussed as a potential threat to the environment and to human health” (Hansson& Joelsson, 2012,p. ?). The crops grown from genetically modified seeds have been proven to endanger organisms, cause health risks, and damage other non-genetically modified plants.
