The kiwi is a flightless bird from New Zealand. Their wings isare only two inches long. Unlike most birdbirds, the kiwi had a keen centssense of smell,; which it uses to find worms and insects. The kiwi once hashad the ability to fly. However, it lives on an island with few large predatorpredators. For the kiwi , flying werewas no longer an important means of finding food or escapeescaping from predators.
