Naturalistic observation will be used to, observe social behavior in children who don’t have pets, verses children who do have pets. I chose this method of observation, because in order for me to know the deference in social behavior., I would have to observe the subject in a natural form. By observing the subjects in their natural setting, I can get a better look at the behavior of interest as they occur in the real-world. This study will involve four children, two with pets and two without pets. To, to observe the social behavior differences between children who don’t have pets verses children who do have pets. Naturalistic observation has many advantages when you are trying to get the most accurate results. At the same time, naturalistic observation comes with a few disadvantages.
