In his article “Asteroids and dinosaurs: unexpected twists and an unfinished story,” Walter Alvarez stated that his journey was quite adventurous and unpredictable, when he found the unique rock. Walter Alvarez was supposed to be experiment on the sedimentary rocks. Until he found the KT boundary and a variety of marine fossils, he started curiositybegan to be curious about why marine life disappeared, and discussed it with his father, Luis Alvarez, about the history of the clay layer. Luis and Walter worked through scientific investigation, and did scientific testing foron the possibility of the supernova discovery. They were determined to collaborate with the scientists, in order to find the evidencesevidence through scientific methods. They repeatedly investigated the ancient events, and participated in the argument regarding to thethe iridium spike, and the dinosaur extinction.
