Subject: DELIVERY OF NOTICES FOR HEARING THROUGH M&P/TCS COURIERS

1. The Appellate Board conducts its hearings in NEPRA head office, Islamabad and NEPRA regional offices u/s 38(3) of NEPRA Act, 1977 for which notices are issued to the DISCOs/consumers through urgent mail service (UMS). However, in the recent hearings held in Lahore and Multan, the representatives of the parties complained regarding late delivery of notices. It is further observed that the notices for hearing delivered through UMS were either received after the date of hearing or returned undelivered, which resulted in the less attendance of the parties in the hearings.
2. In consideration of the above facts, DG (Admin/HR) is requested for issuance of directives to the R&I department for the dispatch of the notices of hearing through the M&P or TCS couriers to the parties.
