Today we will talk about the short film, Exile. We will give a description of the short film and share how we interpreted this film.

This film is about a boy who wants to share his migration story. He is from cape townCape Town, and at a certain point he decidedecides to leave everything behind and to immigrate to the United Kingdom. He left his country to pursue his dream of becoming a filmmaker. The film represents his life in England. He has a hard time adapting to a new life with new people, and feels very lonely.
He is intensely sad, but also suffering from nostalgia. At a certain moment, he decidedecides to injure himself in the bath, but then he gets flashbacks of moments he experienced with his family and friends, butand then he realizes that what he is doing is not the right thing. The film ends with a scene at the beach. This video shows us how difficult it is to immigrate to another country. It shows us how much he misses his old life, home,...

Yosra: I personally did not like the short film, it was totoo amateurish and the execution was not that wellgood, unfortunately. However, I liked the story, and I can't imagine how difficult it may hasmust have been for him.

I didn't like the story.
heHe did not edit it nicelywell, and the end was unintelligible.
But I really liked the message behind it.
