First of all, once someSome of my school colleagues hadonce told me that it wasthese holidays were an amazing experience, these holidays,so I decided to participate in a summer travel programme. I opted to go to London, because, besides wanting to improve my English, I wanted to visit this huge magnificent, huge city, where I had the opportunity to glimpse the most breathtaking views.
In London, I stayed with a host family, whose members were very kind, helpful, and welcoming, in their cosy, spacious house, where they provided a bedroom, just for me.
During my stay there, besides having English classes, which(which were very productive and dynamicdynamic), I took part in a lot of amusing activities, such as canoeing and learning how to play darts or cricket, which are two sports very traditional sports in England. Moreover, during my permanencestay in London, I made new, friends who were funny, cooperative, and trustworthy, friends,and with whom I createdformed strong bonds with;. I went to some typical restaurants, where I tried lots of delicious local dishes, like “Fishfish and Chips”chips and “Bangersbangers and Mash”;mash. I visited the sumptuousfamous, famous,sumptuous Big Ben, which(which was highertaller than I thoughtthought), and, of course, I went on a tour around the majestic Buckingham Palace. In this way, I got to know some aspects and curiosities about the culture of England. For instance, I understoodlearnt that English people were very strict with punctuality, and I learnt that, nowadays, there are two types of real guards: “Thethe Queen’s Guard”Guard and “Thethe Queen’s Life Guard”Guard, who are oneamong of the symbols of English culture that are best known worldwide.
Concluding In conclusion, it was, definitely, my best experience ever ,. I would recommend it to a friend, and I think that these programmes are very important for teens, because, besides learninggiving us a chance to learn a lot and making new, good new friends, they allow us to grow as people: with.
