The changes effects of the industrial revolution phenomenon, IR4.0, required on knowledgeable and highly skilled human resources to ensure that the competitiveness of the country’s industry can be empowered. Therefore, as a party that is directly involved in providing human resources as a national workforce, polytechnic lecturers should facing this situation. This study sets three objectives to be achieved, which are to identify the level of knowledge of IR4.0 elements among electrical engineering lecturers polytechnic lecturers in Malaysia, identify the level of skills of usingintegrating IR4.0 elements in the teaching and learning process and identify the availability of infrastructure facilities to support learning IR4.0. This study uses quantitative methods by, distributing questionnaires to electrical engineering lecturers at Malaysian polytechnics by using an online platform. TheA five-point Likert Scale questionnaire method was used as athe research instrument. Statistical Packages for the Social Science (SPSS) version 21 software iswas used to analyze the data. The reliability value of the Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient obtained iswas 0.947, which indicates that this questionnaire has excellent reliability and validity values. Researchers have divided the challenge into 3 aspects,; namely from the aspectthose of knowledge, skills and infrastructure. The results of the study showreveal that all the challenges are at a moderate level. nIn this regard, to improve the knowledge, skills and infrastructure that supports IR4.0 elements, the polytechnic should strive to provide various opportunities and provide IR4.0 element infrastructure to ensure the knowledge and skills of lecturers who will train and formproduce skilled graduates that meet IR4.0 requirements to contribute to national development.
