Jill Valentine raids the facility. She comes across Albert Wesker, an independent agent since the Spencer mansion incident (the events of Resident Evil), who is seeking to build an ultimate bioweapon. Umbrella's security forces andare eventually captured,; Jill is imprisoned. Jill uses a secret transmitter to tell an old friend about the disaster. Chris cannot release Jill, as he is in a war-torn China, he send. He sends Rebecca chambersChambers and her coworker Bill Coen on the rescue mission. The duo rescue Jill and meet with Chris Redfield and Claire, Chis. Chris adds that he "added it to his schedule"." In their efforts to explore the island and find the means to leave, the squad finds themselvesmeets meeting up with Barry, who was informed of the incident by the BSAA. Unfortunately, he is bitten by an unstable zombie,; one never seen before. Barry starts transforming into a hideous beast, known by weskerWesker as Mr. Bison. Bison chases the squad and there is no escape. Jill wonders why Wesker doesntdoesn't kill them there and then, but she soon discovers that Wesker wants to play with his new toy. This usis discovered when they come across Leon Kennedy who is accused of working alongside Umbrella. Leon spills that he works for Umbrella and conspired with the BSAA and he tells them that Wesker is building the Univirus. He has recreated every monster of every specialised virus, including G (_Resident(Resident Evil 2_)2), Marcus (Resident Evil 0), and Nemesis (Resident Evil 3). He is using the energy of these monsters to power Bison. The squad must stop each and every one of these returning horrors to eventually weaken Bison to his core and end the job.
