I created this piece for people who have difficulty connecting with their fathers to suggest how teenagers face this common struggle. I also wanted to discourage the audience from using and accepting violence in a society, like Wilf Beacon's cruel and abusive ways of hitting his son. I intend to highlight Albie's father's ethical morality by utilising "violence" for the right thing, which allows the reader to experience Albie's growth from childhood to adulthood. Winton depicts two diverse father roles: one that is supportive and one that is abusive. Albie's father shows affection differently from Wilf Beacon by not using violent approaches. My creative work attempts to demonstrate the ability of men who cannot express love openly, suggesting that not all fathers have grown up with the same ethics.
