As a kid growing up, adults always ask, “what“What do you want to be when you grow up?” I never knew the answer to that. Untiluntil I was 16 years old, sitting on my bed and scrolling through my phone when I saw a video on YouTube. It was about an older man telling his story about his recovery withfrom substance abuse. The video made me emotional,. I had tears of joy by the fact that he overcamehad overcome his addiction and decided to do better for himself. I then realized I finally answered the question that would open the door to my future. I wanted to be a substance abuse counselor.
After figuringfinally figuring out what I finally wanted to do after high school, I started to doconduct some research to see what sacrifices I hadwould have to make to achieve my goal. By being aA substance abuse counselor, they sacrificesacrifices a lot of their energy, and time and howin a stressful the job, could be dealingas they must deal with rude clients at times. I know achieving my dream job will not be easy, but I am willing to make it happen.
However, there are many successes alongthat come with the job. For one thing, beingI will be able to help others achieve their goals and improve their lives, which is one of the biggest successes. Second, seeingI will be able to see the patient thrive and live a healthy lifestyle. Finally, the last success wouldis I will be seeingable to see the results of clean patient andpatients who are staying clean.
So overallOverall, after achieving my dream job, I will continue to keep educating myself so that I can strive and to be the best at what I want to achieve. Everybody can always better themselves by looking for ways to improve.
