The researcher gave WDCT questionnaires to each participant: thirty Thai teachers and thirty Filipino teachers during October-November 2020. At the beginning of the questionnaire, the researcher informed the participants about the research purposes. After getting the participant’s verbal consent, a WDCT questionnaires started. The participants wrote down their request onto the free provided space following each scenario in English language. The time limit for questionnaire response was 1 hour. For the interview, after the WDCT test, the participants were interviewed to obtain the answers by semi-structuresemi-structured interview to bring the focus down to the reasons why each group of participants use particular request strategies and the aspect of social status and social distance, as well as elicit other related information based on the WDCT form.
